Magnetotherapy which is also called as magnetic therapy is a kind of practice to be done using magnetic things. This kind of practice is commonly done by those as the alternative of using medicine for certain medication. This kind of method is used due to the assumption that magnet would be very good for health as when the magnet is used for physical body it can prove the metabolism within body both physically or biologically. This kind of method is proven to have no side effects for the body.

Application of Magnetotherapy

This magnetic therapy can be done by using certain electromagnetic products to be applied on the body. The products that are usually used as the magnetic products are special magnetic bracelet, certain jewelry that is equipped with magnetic power, magnetic strap such as the ones used for ankle, back, and the knee. Some even apply the magnet within the shoe, mattress, blanket, cream, certain supplement, and many others. However, doing this should be done by the advice from the doctor for the safety term.

Study on Magnetotherapy

There have been some studies that have been done for this health therapy. Those studies were done to investigate the use of magnet for the body. However, the many studies that have been conducted do not reveal the exact results of the effectiveness of such magnetic for the health. Many of the researches that have been do not provide promising results.

Is it Safe to Use Magnetotherapy?

There are many questions whether using this kind of therapy would be safe for the body or not. According to FDA this magnetic work will not provide any danger for the body when being applied on the body by using certain magnet products such as bracelets, jewelry, or so. However, there are still further researches that are still being undergone to find out the effectiveness of the magnets over the body as well as the possible side effects that might appear from it.
